Assuming you’re willingly living in region that experiences snowfall each and every winter, then you’ve got no excuse to be depressed this winter season. Winter should be a time of fun and celebration. You don’t have to stay inside all day, everyday. Get yourself outside and experience all that winter has to offer.
- Go sledding with your kids (or not). Most towns and cities are equipped with at least one or two decent snow hills. You can also seek out a tubing hill and rent a tube for a few hours of regulated fun. They also come with tow ropes in most cases which make climbing back up the hill much less strenuous.
- Build a snow fort. Snow forts are both fun to build and fun to play with afterwards. Make sure the temperature is a little bit warmer when you want to build one so the snow will be damp and easily assembled.
- Build a snowman. Your snowman building skills have probably increased significantly since your were a little kid. Complete the look with a carrot and a flannel scarf.
- Take a winter camping trip. While most people assume that camping is reserved for summer and fall time, they’re wrong. Many people love to camp during the winter season. There is amazing wildlife to see out in the wilderness. Just make sure you know what you’re doing and you prepare in advance. Harsh weather conditions can make this fun sport quite dangerous. You’ll most certainly need a reliable vehicle with powerful , some warm cloths, snowshoes and a GPS.
