Howdy YouTube

My first video! jumping on the bandwagon as another young pipe smoker into the community, I learn so much and am so entertained I figure it isn’t right to just take. I will probably be talking about pipes and tobaccos mostly, I may include some of my chats with my best friend we have over a cigar and in that case talk about cigars also. As I am a dance student and an avid video game player expect some comments in that direction too.

Welcome! It’s a great little community going on here, so make yourself at home with us all.
If you really like that pipe, you can find a new stem, assuming you can get the old broken tenon out of the shank – maybe by drilling. I use beeswax (health food store) on the tenon to both lubricate it so you can get it off, and it works well to sort of snug up a loose stem. Cheap pipes can be good smoking pipes – price is a wild card in the world of pipes.

Oh great Idea about the Corn Cob, if they smoke well thats half my battle right there!
As for being a dancer, well I definitely don’t talk about it too much at school the ballet master would not approve but since I am older they can’t comment too much, especially if it doesn’t affect my dancing, I haven’t noticed any changes. I defiantly don’t inhale though and don’t smoke in doors much so that probably helps. Thanks all so much for the welcome, I hope to making a new Vid tonight!

Hey, M – great intro vid – hope you find a pipe to replace the one that broke (or maybe a replacement bit-mouthpiece-from a nearby tobacconist) – as you’ve already heard, cobs are great inexpensive smokers – just wondering, as a dancer, do you find smoking affects your stamina? how often do you smoke? do you inhale? do you keep this hobby under wraps? again, just curious – welcome and enjoy your courses in PA – bye4now, MM

welcome! i would have to agree with the corn cob idea, they are great and really affordable. or you can see if your tobacconist does stem replacements

Welcome to the club! Sorry to hear about your pipe.

You should order some missouri meerschaum corn cob pipes. They smoke very well and they’re cheaper than that pipe you got there! I own the Diplomat, it holds a good amount of tobacco and I love it to death. You see guys on here and forums who own briars that cost hundreds of dollars, and they still love their cobs. Go for it!
